Meet the Director & Guru Ma of SOA Music.

Aunty Ann, as everyone calls her, comes from St. James, Port Of Spain, Trinidad.

At a young age she studied Indian Classical Dance in the form of Bharat Natyam and by the time she was 15 years old had already made a name for herself in the art of dance. She performed in "The Better Village Programs" and many other concerts throughout Trinidad, and was also featured on Trinidad & Tobago Television. She taught dance in various towns througout Trinidad, and was employed by the Ministry of Education & Culture.

Ann was a student at Saint James Secondary School, Port of Spain. In 1975 she married the illustrious Dev Bansraj Ramkissoon and later had two children, Ramona Meera and Dave Bansraj Jr. Soon after, she migrated to Canada in 1984 where she continued her studies in the field of Accounting & Computers at the Toronto School of Business, where she graduated with honours.

As the Director of two schools - Saaz-O-Aawaz Academy Of Indian Music and S.O.A Tabla, Ann uses her experience and knowledge to manage the two schools, being responsible for all procedures, including class schedules, enrollment, fundraisers, programs & concerts, and all school public relations.
